Kirk is a very balanced dog, athletic with wonderful expression and outstanding movement. He effortlessly drives from
the rear as he moves around the ring and shows that, even at the age of 9, he can accomplish the tasks he was bred for. He
enjoys his work-- be it patrolling the yard or running the show ring--and goes at it with a single-mindedness and joy that
is evident in every step he takes. There is nothing more fun than working with a dog that truly enjoys showing. Win or lose,
you both have a great time together. Now as Kirk shows as Veteran to the very gracious applause of the spectators I can feel
him literally swell up with joy at the end of the lead! We have been fortunate in that Kirk has passed his attitude, health
and athleticism on to many of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kirk has been an absolute
joy to own. He loves to show and his drive to win has made showing fun for our whole family. He was owner-handled to his Championship
(and even a few breed wins) by Joe, so we all learned about dog showing together. Kirk has aways been willing but once he
teamed up with Jane Hobson he went on an unstoppable winning streak. They finished out 2005 as the #8 mastiff at 6yrs old--the
oldest dog in the top 10! And they earned an invitation to the Eukanuba Invitational. We are so grateful to Jane for being
part of such a great year for us!
Kirk has been a great ambassador for the breed. He has been the meeter and
greeter at many events promoting breed education and Mastiff Rescue. He has never failed to impress people with his gentle
nature.
Kirk is incredibly healthy and I believe he owes that to his wonderful mother, Cherub. At age 8 he can
keep up with best 2yr olds out there and that is saying something in this breed! We co-own Kirk with Eileen Durante of Celestial
Mastiffs and thank her for entrusting him to us!

Excellent movement, for any age, but especially for his age. Showed beautifully. Could use more breadth of
chest, a shorter muzzle and more breadth of muzzle and skull. Nice rear, excellent
topline.

At age 9, Kirk was ranked #37 on the AKC Top 100 Mastiffs list for 2008!
Kirk won Best of Breed 6 times, Best Veteran 10 times, Veteran Group 2 once, Veteran Group 3 once, Veteran Group 4 once and made the cut of 6 for the group once!
Kirk had an excellent year showing as a Veteran in 2007. He won Best Veteran 11 times,
earned 3 Group 3s and a Group 1 under respected Judge Jane Forsyth!
He also won
Best of Breed in the Infodog Virtual Dog Show out of 39 mastiff entries. His beautiful daughter Bella took Best of Opposite.
Kirk won Best Veteran both days at the Connecticut Working Group show as well as an Award of Merit in Breed!
